Michigan Capitals Women’s Hockey Association Tournament

Ice Box Arena, Brownstown Michigan January 12-14, 2007 Application Deadline Date: December 1, 2006 

Dear Coach, Manager, or Association President,

The Michigan Capitals Girls Hockey Association is proud to announce the 19^th Annual Golden Blades tournament being held January 12-14, 2007 at the Ice Box Arena in Brownstown, Michigan about 20 miles south of Detroit.

This year we are offering divisions in the tournament as follows:

The tournament fee is $650.00 USD for all competitive divisions.  All elite and college division games will be longer and subsequently will cost $800.00 USD.  The deadline for registration is December 1, 2006.  The application and player registration form are enclosed with this welcome letter within this email. Please submit a hardcopy of your application, roster form, an official team roster, by normal mail along with a check for $650.00 USD or $800.00 USD made payable to Michigan Capitals Association to the address below before December 1, 2006.  Applications submitted without payment will not be considered.

Each participating team will be guaranteed three games. All round robin and semi-final games, if applicable, are curfew clock. All finalists will be presented with awards.  There is no charge for spectators.  All team requiring accommodations must register at a host hotel. Information on the two hotels is available on the Michigan Capitals website at www.michigancapitals.com.

Please note that the accompanying check does not guarantee acceptance into the tournament. Teams will be notified of their acceptance as early as possible.  However, the Michigan Capitals Association reserves the right to accept or deny any team, and/or cancel a division. Criteria for team selection will be based on equal competition and fun for all participants. The Golden Blades Tournament Director will not entertain requests from teams about acceptance until all divisions have been finalized.

Senior Recreation      Senior Elite

 Entry Fee: $650.00 USD for all non Elite divisions

$800.00 USD for all Elite divisions

Each team is guaranteed three (3) hockey games before Championship.

Tournament Games may start as early as 10:00 a.m. on Friday, although local

teams may play on Thursday evening.
